About Chigwell
Chigwell is based in the Epping Forest district of Essex. It is an area that is well forested and rural. With the TV series, Essex Wives, being filmed in the town, Chigwell is largely considered a wealthy area. It consists of many suburban houses around Chigwell High Road, Hainault Road and Manor Road.
There are a wide range of schools in Chigwell like Chigwell Primary Academy, Limes Farm Infants School & Nursery, Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa College, West Hatch High School and a private school known simply as Chigwell School.
Historically, Chigwell is well-known for its sporting facilities. Tottenham Hotspur FC used to train in the area back in 2012 but have since moved to Enfield. However, Leyton Orient FC still have training facilities in Chigwell. Additionally, there is a massive David Lloyd Leisure Centre containing indoor and outdoor tennis courts, swimming pools and a gymnasium.

Chigwell has two main stations: Grange Hill station and Chigwell Station that are both on the Central line of the London Underground. However, there are a range of other stations close by that also provide a direct route to Central London such as Loughton, Woodford and Hainault.
