Loughton is served by two tube stations, Loughton and Debden, these are both on the London Underground Central line. There are also a number of TfL buses as well as Essex County Council buses. Being away from the hustle and bustle of the city, and the congestion charges that come with that, owning a car is more feasible in Loughton than it is in much of central London.
