Leyton is a town in east London situated within the county of Essex. It is 6.2 miles north-east of Charing Cross.

Leyton is home to the New Spitalfields Market, the Leyton Orient Football Club and part of the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. Most of the houses in Leyton are terraced properties built between 1870-1910.

Leyton station is located at the southern end of the High Road, and it is served by the Central Line of the London Underground. There is also a London Overground station at Midland Road, this is on the Gospel Oak to Barking line.
