About Dagenham

Dagenham is a town in East London within the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham.

Originally, Dagenham was a rural area in Essex, and it remained mostly undeveloped until 1921, when the London County Council began construction of the Beacontree estate.

Dagenham is home to Valence House, the last surviving member of the five manor houses of Dagenham, dating back to the 13th century.
